One Pot, Super Amazing Pasta Recipe - mains recipe by Carolyn Cohen

This pasta hack is truly incredible. Martha Stewart was first to come out with this awesome way to make pasta. Making pasta is now even easier and more delicious that it already was. My version is a perfectly creamy traditional pasta with

Ingredients

  • 4½ cups water
  • 1 28-oz can of diced tomatoes or whole
  • tomatoes crushed with your hands.
  • 1 454gram bag tube shaped pasta, I like
  • rigatoni or penne (you can also use

  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced or 3 frozen cubes
  • 2 Tbs. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. red chili flakes, optional
  • Grated parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large skillet place ALL the ingredients, except the parmesan cheese.

  2. 2

Bring to a boil over high heat. When the liquid boils, start the timer. Boil at med-high for 13 minutes, stirring frequently.

  3. 3

The liquid will be mostly absorbed and the pasta will be perfectly al-dente.

  4. 4

Remove from the heat and sprinkle with parmesan if desired. Serves 4 Note: You can add seafood, cooked chicken, replace some of the water with milk to make a creamy sauce, add beans, other veggies, the choices are endless!
