How to Cook Quinoa Recipe

Cooked quinoa is fabulous to have on hand. Use it in salads such as Liv’s Favourite Mixed Grain and Veg Prep Salad, DeliciousDish or vegetable patties such as Spinach, Quinoa and Oat Patties, DeliciousDish. You can freeze cooked quinoa in an airtight bag for up to 3 months.
Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked quinoa (any colour)
- 1½ cups water
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions

Rinse quinoa in a strainer, put into a small sauce pan with water and salt, and bring to a boil uncovered. Once the water has boiled, cover the pot, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Turn the heat off, open lid, fluff with a fork and let cool with lid off. Makes 2½ -3 cups cooked quinoa

- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Most sides keep well for 3-4 days. Dress salads just before serving to keep them crisp.
