University Prep and Young Adult Cooking Series – Part 1- Virtual Cooking Class – THE BUILDING BLOCKS

Join in for an incredible opportunity to learn basic of cooking, food safety, kitchen essentials and recipes. This is a three-part series (although registration for the other two parts is not mandatory, they are recommended). If you are unable to take one or more of the classes, you will have access to the ZOOM recording.

The Building Blocks – this class will give you the foundations for the meals we will make in the next two classes

Basic Spice Rubs
Basics of Salad Making and Salad Dressing
One-Pot Pastas
Basics of Rice and Quinoa and other grains
Egg Basics and Muffin Tin Frittata

Class Details

Technology: Connect with me using Zoom on your computer, tablet or mobile device. The Zoom link will be emailed 2 days before the class, so no cancellations at that point (you will have access to the Zoom recording).

Ingredients:  Take a careful look at the grocery lists and prep (under the menu above) – there might be ingredients you don’t already have.  The idea is to learn something new –  a new technique, a new ingredient or just to have a fun cooking activity.  The ingredients can be adapted for dietary restrictions or lack of availability.

Recipes: Will be emailed 2 days before the class.  No cancellations at that point (you will have access to the Zoom recording).

Event Duration: 90min-2 hrs

Participation:  You will cook along with me from start to finish.
