Kickin’ Strawberry Margarita

I very rarely post recipes for summer cocktails, mostly for (selfish) reasons.  I’m not much of a cocktail gal.  I’m also not a fan of sweet drinks.  I also don’t love cold drinks or anything fizzy. Geez, I sound high maintenance!  But if a margarita is made right, I’m all over it.  For me, the perfect margarita is not too sweet and is all about the tequila.

I love this margarita because you can make the mix a day or two in advance and shake it or blend it with ice once you’re ready to serve.  And the unique salt on the rim of the glass is epic!  The sweet salty heat is perfect for this tangy, fruity (and sexy I may add) strawberry margarita mixture.  The added bit of Jalapeño is totally optional, but trust me, your guests will be remembering this cocktail for a long time!

In case you are wondering what these trays and coasters are all about, they are handmade by a local girl boss team, Shape Lab (that I have the pleasure of knowing personally). I just love the playfulness of these versatile homewares that emulate the terrazzo look with fun colours and textures. Have your favorite drink in style with Shape Lab’s unique objects. Get them HERE and get them fast because they cannot keep them in stock. Tell them that I sent you – they will treat you right! Oh, and follow them on Instagram.
